About Us


Spacechips designs and builds a range of advanced, L to Ku-band, ultra high-throughput on-board processors and transponders for telecommunication, Earth-Observation, internet and M2M/IoT satellites. Our products make payloads 60% smaller, 50% lighter, 50% less power consuming and 40% less expensive, and we offer qualified space-grade, ITAR/EAR-free, COTS-based and ground-segment solutions. The company's inventions won High-Reliability Product of 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Spacechips also offers the global space industry space-electronics design-consultancy, technical-marketing, training and business-intelligence services. The company has delivered over 120 orders to 70 customers in 23 countries.

Couture

Spacechips was founded in September 2014 by our CEO, Dr. Rajan Bedi, winning technical-marketing and business-intelligence contracts on its first day of trading. Dr. Bedi was awarded Great British Disruptive Entrepreneur of 2020 and was shortlisted for Global Entrepreneur of 2023.

Prior to founding Spacechips, Rajan headed Mixed-Signal Space Electronics at Airbus Defence & Space in the UK for twelve years, leading and contributing to many major satellite programs. Rajan is the author of, Out-of-this-World Design, the award-winning blog on Space Electronics hosted by EDN.

In 2016, the company’s first invention won High-Reliability Product of the Year and in 2017, Spacechips won New Company of the Year as well as High-Reliability Product of the Year. Today, we have customers in 23 countries!
